I THINK, first, buffers of our body will try to decrease the pH value.
Second, some disorders or illness in our body will happen.
We know, pepsin is more active in acidic environment. So,in this condition it will be inactive.Besides this, other things will also happen(I THINK).

If the pH value in our body increases, The functioning of the enzymes are not work properly, since they are the responsible for the digestion of food, for working activities etc. These enzymes release in required amount only to do the internal work like digestin, carrying the information etc properly. Sometimes enzymes are released in required amount on stomach to protect the walls of stomach from Hcl acid. If the PH is too high, They works get disturbed which leads to malfunction which leads for the release of higher amounts of enzyme at a time which makes the body either fully acidic or basic.
