what will happen if the thyroid gland of a tadpole is removed

The tadpole grown only when tyroid gland is present . and for tyroid production iodine is needed so tadpoles hatch only in iodised water
so if we remove the thyroid gland in tadpole the tapole Imediatlly dies

The tadpoles are the stage where it is grown only with the major help of thyroid gland.For the production of thyroid in the body of the fish iodine plays a major role.....So if we remove the thyroid gland in the tadpoles then they immedietly die.
