What will happen if there are no roots to hold the soil together?

Erosion will cause plants to not grow as well. .

If the soil doesn't have enough nutrients, the plants won't grow well. If the plants won't grow well, then more soil will erode becausethere are few roots to hold the soil together

in some plants nothing will happen....but some plants or trees become loose there stability and in the case of minerals plants absorb from air only co2 and H2O .....
