Photo receptors are light sensors of retina. It consists of Rods and Cones. Without receptors we cannot differentiate light and dark colours in the world. So if any one absence leads to visual problem.

because whatever we see is due to these receptors , these receptors accept the message and transmit that impulse to optic nerve and from there to brain .
hence if no receptor would be there then vision wouldn't be there .
