What will happen if we add salt on the raw pieces of mango ?

when salt is applied to the raw pieces of mango it absorbs the juice from the mango due to the lower concentration of water in salt. or you can say Osmosis. Hence it will become dry.

If salt is applied to mango pieces the pieces will shrink in size due to the fact that is a hypertonic solution. It is a hypertonic solution because Salt has a greater volume than mango pieces and thus it will try reaching an equilibrium by removing particles from the cell. This will make it shrink.
