Firstly, the risk of heart disease increases as fiber doesn’t break down in our body, and cholestrol clings to it as it passes through our digestive system.
Furthermore, roughage helps in keeping our system working as it is hard work to push roughage through which helps faeces to easily be excreted.

If we will not take the required amount of roughage, our body will not be able to digest the swallowed food. Some of the health issues that can occur due to the insufficient quantity of roughage are heart diseases, cancer, constipation, skin issues, etc.
