What will happen if we keep a metal spoon in a Pickle jar for few days

we do not put stainless steel spoons in pickle jars because pickles are acid in nature and stainless steel is metal ,being acid pickles can react with metals that is stainless steel spoon. So to avoid corrosion and degradation of spoon we do not keep it in pickle jars
