if we keep a plant cell in hypotonic solution, osmosis draws water out of solution and into cells. As a result, plant cell appear more plump when they are placed in hypotonic solution.
if we keep plant cell in hypertonic solution, plant cell will stay firm thanks to their air filled vacuole. In hypertonic solution the cells will take water and appear more plump.
if we keep plant cell in isotonic solution, the plant cell would not change size, the exchange of water molecules in and out of cell would be equal.
