what will happen if we put an animal cell or plantcell into a solution of sugar or salt silution​

Hypertonic solutions have less water ( and more solute such as salt or sugar ) than a cell. Seawater is hypertonic. If you place an animal or a plant cell in a hypertonic solution, the cell shrinks, because it loses water ( water moves from a higher concentration inside the cell to a lower concentration outside ).

it will shrink as the salt/sugar solution will be hypertonic and it will lose all its water and make the salt/sugar solution hypotonicv and vice versa

this cycle will continue until it reaches state of equilibrium
