  • Wheat is a Rabi crop and it is sown in winter season also. Wheat plants cannot tolerate too much water and excess water will damage the wheat plant.
  • Rainy season is called the kharif season and the kharif crops are grown. Wheat does not require a huge amount of water. So, if it is grown in the rainy season it may die due to excess amount of water.
  • Therefore, if the wheat is sown in rainy season, it will not yield any crop due to the adverse climatic condition and  its production will be decreased.
  • Wheat cannot grow during summer and rainy season because it needs a dry and cold temperature for its growth and all the plants have there fix time of growth.
  • Then the whole crop might get destroyed because of many factors such as a lack of optimum temperature, adaptability, availability of pests etc.. which is not favorable for the growth of the wheat crop.
