God sees every effort you make to do anything for him. You made an effort and God sees all our efforts. He knows you feel guilt and discouragement which means he can see that you have a conviction and a desire to change.
Now that you have shown God you did all of this for His honor and glory, you are earning your rewards from God. Even if you broke it, start again.
But remember, if you really want something from God, you don't need to be worried because that's NOT how God works... all you need to do is -- seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you.
