If you keep longing for things, you'll never be content, you'll always have those desires and wishes in your head, and if you don't get them, or even if you do and long for something next, you'll never be happy and won't ever enjoy what you already have.
So, don't overdose anything, everything in this world is just for comfort, it has nothing to do with your reason of being here on Earth(and the journey beyond), your wishes will surely give you hope to work, to live, but keep in mind to settle with neither one nor many aim, you may desire for something, but in a way that it shouldn't manipulate you or have a control over you.
