Work usually makes us dull, of course if we don't take or have any source of entertainment. If you keep working all day, you will gradually get bored and would prefer taking a break for some time. Taking breaks (not after every short periods) can help your brain get refreshed.

Our brain cannot concentrate on a particular type of thing for long. That's why some people often get distracted. But taking small dozes of entertainment everyday after work helps you to overcome stress and unhappiness. That's why we say " No play and all work makes Jack a dull boy."
