When the dry raisins are placed in plain water solution.. then the raisin will gain water through osmosis as it is kept in a hypotonic solution(the water concentration is less in raisin)... But again if u will put the soaked raisin in concentrated salt water solution.. the cell will lose water through osmosis as it is in a hypertonic solution (the water concentration is more inside the raisin)
