If a plant or animal cell is kept in the isotonic solution then the water will cross the cell membrane from both the sides and the cell will remain in the same size like it was before the beginning of the experiment .

Isotonic solution is the solution in which if u keep Plant & Animal cell it will not show any change becoz the inner & outer atmosphere of the cell contains same quantity of water. So we will observe that it will remain as same as we used it in this activity.
