if a plant cell is kept in hypotonic solution then it will expand and get turgid due to the process of endosmosis as water concentration outside the cell is more than inside the cell so , to achieve and equilibrium the water will go in the cell
the plant (unlike an animal cell) will not burst because it has a thick layer of cell wall present that applies Turger pressure on incoming water if the cell gets filled up completely
