Answer:

if a cell is put in a solution which has a solute concentration higher than its own it will shrink or shrivel and if it is put in a soln which has lower solute concentration than its own it will swell or may burst

Answer: Will shrink

Explanation: Due to the process of osmosis, since the water concentration of the solution in which the cell is kept is lesser than that of the cell, the water molecules from the cell diffuses to the sugar solution. The sugar solution (here) is an example for hypertonic solution.
