What will happen to a plant if its xylem is removed?

The function of xylem in plants is to transport water from the roots to the different parts of the plant.

Xylem is a tissue which, if removed from the plant, will stop the movement of water from the roots upwards.

This will deprive the different parts of plant from water.

The plant will die eventually.
