what will happen to plant if its xylem is removed?

Answer: ... It transports water from the roots to the different parts of the plant. If the xylem of the plant is removed, upward movement of water will stop leading to wilting of leaves and ultimately causes the death of a plant.

If the Xylem will be removed from plant then the transportation of water and minerals vertically would be stopped.

The storage of food in xylem parenchyma and sideway conduction of water will be stopped.

Xylem fibres will not be able to support.

Hope it helps you.
