what will happen to raisins when placed in hypotonic solution ??

The raisins will swell up as the cell wall lets in the water which is absorbed by the raisins.


No matter how much the pressure is the cell wall does not break and that is why the raisins swell up.


This is because of the hypo-tonic solution in which these are kept.
