what will happen to the area of a rectangle if its length is doubled and breadth is tripled

The area will be increased as 6 times of the original area

area of rectangle =  L * B 

original area  is  L* B 

length  increased twice and  breadth increased thrice , so now area is  = 2 L * 3 B
                                                                                                       =  6 LB
which is 6 times of original area
