What will happen to the area of rectangle if its lenght and breadth are doubled

area of the rectangle becomes 4 times the original area of the rectangle.

area of rectangle = l×b.

let the length and breadth of the rectangle be l and b respectively.

now you double it's length and breadth which is equal to 2l and 2b respectively.

now the finding the area of rectangle with increased length and breadth.

area = 2l × 2b

area = 4 l × b

this shows that it's area become 4 times the original area of you increase it's length and breadth by 2.
