what will happen to the leaf of a plant if we apply vaseline on it nd keep it in the sunlight??

if vaseline is applied then it will block the stomatal pores and will insulate the leaf covering
because of this sunlight won't be absorbed and neither transpiration nor gaseous exchange will occur
