Explanation:

With an increase in temperature, the particles move faster as they gain kinetic energy, resulting in increased collision rates and an increased rate of diffusion. ... With an increase in temperature, the particles gain kinetic energy and vibrate faster and more strongly.

When there is an increase in temperature, the kinetic energy of the particles increases and starts moving faster.

  • there are three states of matter namely, solid, liquid and gas.
  • solid matters are tightly packed and have lesser intercellular space (the space between the atoms of the matter) when there is an increase in temperature, the solid changes into liquid form.
  • liquid are loosely packed with sufficient intercellular space between the atoms. when there is an increase in temperature, the liquid changes into gaseous form.
  • gaseous form have huge intercellular space and are far apart from each other
