Explanation:

Boiling water will remove some dissolved gasses but will not remove much in the way of impurities. It's these impurities that will give water it's pH value. Treated drinking water will vary, depending on source and treatment, between pH 5.0 to pH 7.0. The purer the water the closer to neutral (pH 7.0) it will be.
