when you compressed or stretch a spring it's potential energy goes under kinetic energy which many very high according to the power applied to compressed or stretch it

guptavishal: p. e
guptavishal: potential energy increase
Anonymous: but why potential energy is increases can you explain it
Anonymous: it helps me
uknaresh1234radhe: bcoz it is an conservative force
ShuchiRecites: Potential energy increases because it stores energy. Whenever energy is stored its called potential energy because it has potential to change into kinetic energy.
Anonymous: thank you
ShuchiRecites: Always welcome :)
guptavishal: when you stretched or compress a spring you work against the restoring force of the spring

Hello Mate!

■ In both the cases the elastic potential energy came into being, whether a spring is stretched or compressed.

What Potential Energy means?

■ When an object stores some force which can be in future cause work done by virtue of its mass and velocity is called Potential energy.

Example : When you leave a ball at top then uts potential energy is maximum. But while its way to down, its kinetic energy increases.

■ Similarly, when you stretch an object or compress it then it stores energy inform of potential energy and as soon as you decrease the pressure it changes its energy into kinetic energy.

《Hence Potential energy is maximum when a spring is stretched or compressed.》

Have great future ahead!
