What will happen to the voltage rating and capacitance when three capacitors are connected parallel? { C1 = 220mfd 16 V, C2 = 820mfd 10V and C3 = 1000mfd 12V}. Please I need its answer fast!!! ( 20 points )........

For parallel connected capacitors we have

C = C1+C2+C3

so, C = 220+820+1000 = 2040mF or 2040 × 10^-3F

Now for parallel connection voltage must be same and it should be 10V

SubhasishBhaduri: Then what will happen to the voltage when they are connected in series?
reck2: for parallel charge must be same but voltage varies
SubhasishBhaduri: So, what will be the voltage when I connect the given three capacitors in series
reck2: It is simply V = V1+V2+V3
SubhasishBhaduri: Thanks
reck2: Welcome
SubhasishBhaduri: I've two ceramic capacitors both 3000V, I'll connect them in series, find the voltage.
