Volume = (length) ³
Now, No if the length is halved,
New length = length/2
New volume = (length/2)³
= length³/8
Therefore the volume will become one eighth of the original.

Volume of cube ,v = a ^3
Then new a = 1/2 a
Then
V/v =( 1/2a/ a)^3
V/v = 1/8
V ( new volume )= 1/8 v ( old volume)
Change in volume = v -1/8v
7/8v
Then new a = 1/2 a
Then
V/v =( 1/2a/ a)^3
V/v = 1/8
V ( new volume )= 1/8 v ( old volume)
Change in volume = v -1/8v
7/8v
