initially:
edge = L
so,
volume = L³
now,
new edge = L/2
so,
new volume = (L/2)³
= L³/8
but we know L³ is initial volume
so replace L³ by V ( initial volume )
so,
new volume = V/8

So according to that formula
a=
now volume would be
so it would reduced to 8 times
a=
now volume would be
so it would reduced to 8 times
