If the edge of cube will be doubled then the volume will be 8 times . and if edge of cube will be halfed then the volume will be 1/8. If edge of cube will be tripled then the volume will be 27 times. greater than the original volume.

let the edge be x
a- volume of cube = l^3
(2x)^3
8x^3
therefore the no of times the volume increased=8x^3/x^3
= 8 times
2- if halved
volume=(x/2)^3
=x/8^3
therefore the no of times the volume decreased=1/8x^3/x^3
=1/8 times
3- tripled
new l = 3x
volume= (3x)^3
=27x^3/x^3
= 27 times
