What will happen to volume of a cube of side 10 cm, if its each edge is double

If edge is double then the edge must be 2x10 means 20 so for that case volume = 400..

volume of first cube =a^3
therefore volume=10^3 =1000
volume of cube when edge is double=20^3=8000
