if we put a plant cell in a hypotnoic it will burst and if we will put it in hypertonic it will not burst because of cell wall
if we put animal cell in hypotnoic and hypertonic it will burst because it lack cell wall

If we keep plant cell or animal cell in hypotonic then the medium surrounding the cell has a higher water concentration than the cell. So then the water will be loses by osmosis
If we keep in isotonic then the medium has exactly the same water concentration as the cell, then there will be no net movement of water across the cell membrane
If we keep in hypertonic the medium has a lower concentration of water than the cell. Again by osmosis process cell will loss the water.
