What will happen when a magnetic compass will come near a bar magnet ?

Answer:

north pole of compass will point towards south pole of magnet, due to attraction

or u could say that the compass needles point in the magnetic field direction...

Answer:

the needle of the compass is itself a magnet and thus the north pole of the magnet always points north, except when it's Anwar a magnet . when you take the compass away from the bar magnet , it is again points north so, we can conclude that the north end of a compass it attracted to the South end of a magnet.
