What will happen when a RBC is kept in concentrated saline solution

The RBC will shrink...
the reason being that concentration inside the cell is lower (more water) than the concentration of saline solution( less water as compared to cell)... therefore, water will move from high water potential to lower water potential... i.e., from cell to the solution and cell will shrink...
