what will happen when baking soda and vinegar are ixed together and we put a gold coin?

when they two are mixed activity acid is produced . gold being less reactive as well as actic acid is also not that reactive they don't react

shravanrajani13: i said the chemical composition of 2 and the left should react with gold

When baking soda and vinegar are mixed together a chemical reaction occur which yields carbon dioxide, water, sodium and acetate.


Now when we put the gold coin in this mixture, the built up tarnish of the coin gets cleaned.


Though it can be a little abrasive and result in the erosion of the gold coin too.
