What will happen when brown colour Substance X is react with oxygen and form Y. name this reaction when Y again react with hydrogen gas it's come in the brown colour X write both the chemical reaction

A) The substance x is Copper as copper is brown in colour. y is Copper Oxide (CuO)

B) This is a redox chemical reaction. Bcz copper is getting oxidized by heating, to copper oxide. while copper oxide encounters reduction on treating with H2 gas.

3) 2Cu + O2 > 2CuO

CuO + H2 > Cu +H2O
