What will happen when dry apricots are left for sometime in pure water and later transferred to sugar solution

wen apticots r diped in pure water they gets swell up cozz of diffusion aprcots r hypertonic here
when transferred to sugar solution it will shrink cozz of diffusion as sugar solution here is hypertonic.
