The Sun will experience more rapid mass loss, with about 33% of its total mass shed with the solar wind. The loss of mass will mean that the orbits of the planets will expand. ... The most rapid part of the Sun's expansion into a red giant will occur during the final stages, when the Sun will be about 12 billion years old.

Answer:
I explain in detail
Explanation:
Today when we see the sun it looks bright and yellow, it is because
the nuclear fission are in process, in
this nuclear fission the hydrogen strike with other hydrogen atom and forms helium .In this process very much heat and light energy emits.
But, when the all hydrogen gets finished then,it becomes old. Here's the climax starts, now the sun starts shrinking as the core of sun and then it burst ,this process is
called 'supernova ' then the all gases released in supernova explosion comes closer and form
'newtron star ' , Newtron star have
very powerful gravitational field, it starts eating all the material .After
when in becomes dead ,then it become 'black hole ' .
Black hole eating the planets and stars, and releasing a energy which
goes on other galaxies and stops the growth of baby stars.
After eating so much material it get
burst its leads to the birth of other stars and here the life of sun goes end.
