Xylem vessels of plant are plugged:

The xylem vessel of the plant is responsible for the conduction of the water in the plant body. So if the xylem vessel of the plant become plugged then the conduction of the water will stopped and then the plant will be wilted and no water movement will be take place in the plant body so the plant become shrink due to the loss of water. If the condition is remain continued then after sometime the plant will be died.
