What will happens if carbon is burnt in air? If the product formed reacts with water, what will be formed? Write chemical equations taking place for these reactions.

If the carbon burns in air then it produces carbon dioxide.

CO2 reacts with water to form carbon hydroxide.

CO2 + H2O ----- H2 will release and CO3 will form.
