Insulin reduces the blood sugar level in our body
Glucagon increases the blood sugar level in our body
So if glucagon is not present then our blood sugar level will dramatically decrease and result in a condition called hyporglycemia.
Hypoglycemia causes various problems, like
- Seizures - loss of consciousness, in extreme cases coma is also possible
- mood changes - nervousness, anxiousness increases
- sleep disturbance/ insomnia - get nightmares or cry out during sleep because of nervousness
- headaches
- blurry vision or other visual disturbances
- increase in heart beat
- dizziness or less concentration
- Clammy skin or pale skin - skin become cold
- Food aversion - avoiding eating food
- Jitteriness - make your body shiver or shaky
