Moths have a diverse habitat for living and breeding. Habitats such as mangroves, sand dunes are best known habitats for the breeding of moths.

Now, it has been found that the population of moths are sharply declined from 1968 after their habitats have been invaded by certain species and human habitations .

Scientists suggesting that soon some of the moth species will get extincted from the earth because of the habitat invasions.
