1. Due to the presence of moisture (from your irrigation system, the testa (or the seat coat) will be soften 
2. Moisture will be absorb into the seeds through a micro-pore, followed by swelling of the seeds due to the excess water in the seed. 
3.The embryo will begin to grow (rapid cell division will take place) and eventually roots (develop from radical) and shoots (develop from plumule) will develop and emerge from the seeds. 
4. During this embryonic stage, the embryo is being fed by nutrients made available from the endosperm (or cotyledon) to the developing embryo 
5. As time goes by, the roots and the leaves will carried out their own function. Roots will absorb moisture and leaves will carried out its photosynthetic activities.
