if someone pricks your hand with a needle -
- There are multiple processes which will occur once a needle pricks you.
- If it is done by someone else, reflex action will be set in motion through spinal cord and your hand will move away with a jolt. There may or may not be any bleeding.
- If you do it to your own hand, then the hand will start bleeding.
- Then, the clotting process is inititated with the help of platelets called hemostasis.
- Clotting factors like prothrombin, fibrin are involved which help in clotting process.
- The actual clot which is formed is a combination of fibrin threads, blood cells and plasma.
