If m friend is depressed then I will ask her to share her feelings with me if she wants coz that will unburden her heart. Then I will try to divert her attention. If my frnd wants to cry I will lend her my shoulder but if the person is not that kind then it is better to not bring the topic instead doing some activities with the person
