We will observe that the blue colour of copper sulphate solution soon fades away....

This is due to formation of zinc sulphate precipitate which is white in colour when zinc pieces are added to copper sulphate solution.....

When some zinc granules are put in the copper sulphate solution ....due to high reactiveness of the zinc.....the zinc metal will displace the copper from copper sulphate solution and the copper will be coated on the Zinc granules and the solution will become zinc sulphate.....which is colourless in nature...
