Answer:

a] when we add a drop of sodium hydroxide (NAOH) to blue litmus ,it's colour doesn't change and paper remains blue in colour

b] colour changes to dark  pink or magneta

c]colour changes to pink\red

Explanation:

a] blue litmus is basic in nature due to this colour don't change

b]china rose indicator is light pink in colour and when acid added to it colour changes to magenta and base added to it colour changes to green.

c]Red cabbage contains a chemical called anthocyanin. This changes colour depending on the acidity. It turns a pink/red colour in the presence of an acid, is purple when neutral and when added to a basic substance turns blue or green.

Answer:

a) No colour change.

b) Colour changes to dark pink.

c) Colour changes to pink.

Explanation:

a) When blue litmus is dropped in basis medium then it shows no change but when it is dropped in acidic medium, it changes its colour to red. Sodium hydroxide is a base and thus it has no effect on a blue litmus paper but it changes red litmus to blue.

b) When a drop hydrochloric acid is added to china rose solution it turns Dark pink this shows it contains strong acid.

c) When a drop of dilute sulphuric acid is added to red cabbage juice is it turns pink this shows that it is acidic.
