what will you observe when a magnet is moved over :-
1) mixture of iron filling and sulphur.
2) compound formed after heating of iron filling and sulphur.

Answer 1

1- when a magnet is moved over a mixture of iron filling and sulphur, then the magnet would attract all the iron fillings and stick to it & sulphur will left behind.
2- when a magnet is moved over a compound of iron and sulphur, then nothing gonna happen as now iron has lost its properties after reacting and making compound with sulphur.
