What will you observe when the metal top of an electroscope with a glass bar which has been rubbed with silk cloth. Give reason for your answer

static charge will be generated
The glass rod rubbed with silk will be positively charged.When this charged rod is touched with the cap of the electroscope, the electroscope gets charged by conduction due to which the gold leaves repel each other and diverge.
