what wilo happen if cocoon is boiled

Cocoons are boiled in order to obtain one long continuous thread.If they are not boiled we get pieces of thread instead of one long threaf

Cocoons are Placed in boiling water to get smooth & continious thread from it to soften the Cocoons Upper Layers and Kill the larvae (Silk Worm) & can be stored as is for more than 10 days.
